Summer Camp 2026

Lockerly Arboretum’s Camp Discovery provides children with opportunities to learn, examine, explore, and play amongst the many natural wonders the Arboretum has to offer.  All camps are led by Kensey Amerson, Director of Education, and GCSU student employees.  Camp includes hands-on learning activities and games that teach children to be curious about the natural world.  We offer 3 different camps suited to different age groups.

Camp Hours and Extension Care

Sapling and Oak camp hours are from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Camper drop-off begins at 9:00 am, and pick-up extends until 4:00 pm. If you need care for your camper outside these hours, we offer before-camp care from 7:30 -9:00 am and after-camp care from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. The cost of extended care is $20 a week for just before or just after camp, or $35 a week for both.

Camp Scholarship

At Lockerly, we understand that some deserving students who would benefit from a summer camp experience simply can’t afford our camps.  This year, we launched a financial aid program specifically for Sapling and Oak summer camps to ensure all members of our community have access to camp activities.

If you know of a deserving child, please see the attached application.
