What are the Admission Costs?
The Arboretum grounds are free to the public.
Lockerly Hall is a part of the Milledgeville Trolley Tour; tour information can be obtained by calling the Milledgeville Convention and Visitors Bureau at (478) 452-4687 or through their website at www.milledgevillecvb.com . Groups and individuals are welcome at Lockerly; private tours of the Hall can be scheduled by calling the Arboretum office at (478) 452-2112.

What are the Hours?
The Arboretum grounds are open Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Sundays closed. Lockerly Hall tours are conducted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Call (478) 452 - 2112 for holiday hours.
The Oliver N. Worley Environmental Education Center and the Oconee River properties are available for educational programs and study.
ALL visits to these properties must be scheduled in advance through Lockerly’s Director of Education at (478) 452-2112. Please see the Use Policy and Guidelines.

How do you get to Lockerly?
- From Macon, take either Highway 22 or Highway 49. Both routes lead straight to Milledgeville. From Highway 22, turn right to Highway 49. From Highway 49 turn right on Wayne Street and continue south on Wayne Street/Irwinton Road (stay in the right hand lane). Lockerly is about 1 mile on your left.
- From Atlanta, take 1-20 East to Exit 114 (Madison). Turn right onto Highway 441 South. Follow Highway 441 South to Milledgeville (about 45 miles). From Highway 22, turn right to Highway 49. From Highway 49 turn right on Wayne Street and continue south on Wayne Street/Irwinton Road (stay in the right hand lane). Lockerly is about 1 mile on your left.
- From Augusta, or Columbia, SC, on 1-20 West, exit at Camak (Exit 165), follow Route 80 to Warrenton, Highway 16 to Sparta, and Highway 22 to Milledgeville. From Highway 22, turn right to Highway 49. From Highway 49 turn right on Wayne Street and continue south on Wayne Street/Irwinton Road (stay in the right hand lane). Lockerly is about 1 mile on your left.
- From Savannah, take I-16 West, Exit Highway 441 North at Dublin. Follow 441 North to Gray/Milledgeville Road (Highway 22 East). From Highway 22, turn right to Highway 49. From Highway 49 turn right on Wayne Street and continue south on Wayne Street/Irwinton Road (stay in the right hand lane). Lockerly is about 1 mile on your left.

How do I tour the Arboretum?
Visitors are welcome to tour the gardens at their own pace. Please register at the office and pick up a brochure and trail guide. Private group and educational tours can be scheduled by calling (478) 452 - 2112.
By car or bicycle: Gravel roadways wind through the gardens and collections on our 50 acre property.
On foot: Walking along the gravel roadways and hiking the short trails is encouraged; however, many areas are not wheelchair accessible.

Do you have public restrooms, water fountains and public telephones?
Restrooms are located in the Interpretive Center and in facilities at the rear of the property, and cold water is available from our well at the gazebo. There are no public telephones on the property.

Is there a place to eat on the Arboretum grounds?
Food service is not available on-site, but you may bring a picnic lunch and blanket or chairs when you visit. A picnic table is available. Please be sure to take everything that you bring to Lockerly home with you. Fires of any kind are prohibited.

Are the gardens and Lockerly Hall opened for private functions?
The Arboretum grounds and Lockerly Hall are available for weddings and special events. For rental rates and more information, please call 478-452-2112.

What are the Rules?
We ask your help protecting Lockerly - one of middle Georgia’s treasures.
- All plants, fish, and wildlife are protected. Do not collect plants or plant parts including flowers, leaves, and seeds.
- Pets must be leashed at all times and must be controlled so that they do not urinate on, defecate in, or enter garden beds. Owners must clean up after their pets.
- Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the property or inside the buildings.
- Sports activities are prohibited on the grounds. Please bicycle on roadways only.
- Fishing is not allowed.
- Please park in designated areas.
- Please plan your visit so that you are ready to leave by closing time.
