Established in 1965 as a nonprofit organization by the Lockerly Arboretum Foundation, the Arboretum is one of Georgia’s most beautiful jewels. Rose Hill, a circa 1852 Greek Revival mansion, is surrounded by 50 acres of tall trees, flowering shrubs, a pond, and walking trails that comprise the Arboretum. We also have an outdoor education center in Putnam County, the Oliver N. Worley Center. The Worley Center is utilized by local Scout troops and is the home of our summer outdoor education camp. In April 2015 Rose Hill was placed in the Georgia Register of Historic Places and we were place in the National Register of Historic Places in April 2017.
